Chastnye voprosy memfisskoi toponimiki: toponim "Belye Steny' v kontseptsii Ia. Maleka [Particular issues of Memphis toponymy: The toponym of the White Walls in the concept of J. Malek]
On May 24, 2023, the prominent Czech-British Egyptologist J. Malek (1943–2023) passed away. Among other things, Dr. Malek was a permanent member of expeditions organized by the “Egypt Exploration Society” (the project “Survey of Memphis (SoM)”). In connection with this circumstance, an author of this paper proposes to discuss some relevant observations of the deceased scholar on localization of an ancient capital of Egypt — the “White Walls”, which the scientist placed at the entrance to Wadi Abusir.
