Tekstil'nye tekhnologii Egipta: tkatskie stanki [Textile technologies of Egypt: looms]

In this paper looms that could be used in Egypt are discussed. Those are a simple horizontal, vertical with two beams and pit treadle looms. Other possible options are looms with three beams and backstrap looms. Egyptians could use several types of looms simultaneously. Analysis of written sources, in which many terms are used for referring looms, proves this assumption. Studying textiles that were found during work of CES RAS archaeological missions in the Theban tomb of Tjai (TT 23) and Deir el-Banat necropolis allows fully or partially reconstructing some types of looms, on which those textiles were produced.
