Bioarkheologicheskie issledovaniia mumifitsirovannykh ostankov iz pogrebenii nekropolia Deir-el'-Banat (po materialam polevykh sezonov 2014–2017 gg.) [Bioarchaeological research of mummified remains from burials on Deir-el-Banat necropolis (based on materials obtained in 2014–2017)]
Basing on conservation peculiarities of 97 bodies from burials on Deir el-Banat necropolis, the author reconstructs possible methods of body treatment before burial. Results of this research allow finding out a number of differences between funeral rites of the Ptolemaic, Roman and Late Antique periods. However using mummification features for developing the relative chronology of the site is still difficult since one method of body treatment could be practised for several historical epochs.
