Dorogo bogato: metodicheskii podkhod dlia otnositel'noi otsenki tekstilia rannego Srednevekov'ia v pogrebeniiakh nekropolia Deir-el'-Banat [«In a rich way»: A methodological approach for the relative assessment of early medieval textiles in the burials of the Deir el-Banat necropolis]

This paper presents results of analysis of textiles found during work of CES RAS archaeological missions in Deir el-Banat necropolis. A special scale has been developed to estimate the cost of textiles. Raw materials and all stages of production are valued in conventional units. This approach allows subjective impressions of the economic investments of people who once lived to be converted to objective parameters.
