In course of excavations in Egypt artifacts visually reminding knitted fabrics and belonging to different periods were found. This paper observes studies on this topic, general information on differences between fabrics with similar structure made in various non-weaving technics as well as known knitted items from Egypt, which are kept in museum collections around the world.
